Collection: Firewire El Tomo Twin Fish - Speed, speed, and speed

There's a lot going on in the El Tomo Twin Fish design. First, it's made for speed. Just jam the straight-ish outline into the power part of the wave and hang on; this board is going to fly through sections and make 1000-yard bottom turns. On the bottom, a deep single concave runs the length of the board for drive. Inside that single, just behind the front, foot Tomo's quad concave starts to become noticeable, getting more pronounced as you move to the tail. Eventually, the concave "barrels" are almost channels coming off the tail.

You might be worried about all that drive impeding your ability to turn, but put that concern aside. The noticeably wide tail is designed for versatility. It's stable, with plenty of lift, but also maneuverable. Like all deep swallow tails, each side of the board functions as its own narrow, and highly turnable, tail. With a slight bump and a couple of pivot points, the El Tomo Twin Fish will respond very nicely when it's time to turn.

If you're looking for drive, turns, and hold, that's what this board is made for; surfers who like to go fast and power their way through rail turns.
