To start, a shaped layer of D3O impact foam sits under the cap, and on top of a full-coverage layer of comfort foam. D3O stiffens on impact, allowing for much greater impact protection with less foam. Thus the ProTec Pro Line Knees are slimmer than the pro-level knee pads you're used to, allowing for more clearance and less restriction. Next, a Kevlar Flex Panel above the cap gives you more comfort when standing, and ensuring that your pads hug your knees during a slide. Finally, durable suede panels boost longevity, and an improved, replaceable knee cap lasts longer and slides better.
