Slater and Tomo's design for good to mildly excellent waves, the Sci-Fi 2.0 turns easier, and fits into a wider range of waves that its predecessor. Even though the small wave range has been extended a bit, do not think that the Sci-Fi 2.0 has lost anything in the good wave performance end of the scale. It rips.

The Sci-Fi 2.0 is built with LFT (Linear Flex Technology). LFT is engineered to feel like the best poly board you've ever had, while lasting a whole lot longer. LFT surfboard decks will mold over time, allowing your surfing to create footwells like a poly board. LFT also feels planted in faster, larger surf, cutting through chop and engaging with the wave. Firewire touts LFT as being precise, predictable, and giving fantastic speed control in punchy waves.
