Used Boards at Central Coast Surfboards

There's nothing like waxing up a brand new board for the first time, except maybe the first surf in a fresh wetsuit. But new boards are expensive these days, so looking to the used rack is a great option for every surfer. If the used board market is scarce on Craig's List, if you're curious about a different shape, or if you need a cheap emergency replacement for an upcoming trip or swell, our used board collection may have the gem you're searching for.

We get a lot of used boards, and most of them have tons of sessions left in them. Condition of the boards we have range from practically brand new to well-loved and broken-in. There are often some steals to be had, but they don't last long!

If you have a board you'd like to put on consignment with us (we don't buy used boards), here's the deal. Boards need to be water tight, so get any dings fixed. Strip the wax and clean the board yourself before bringing it in to avoid the $30 cleaning fee for waxed boards. You set the price, but we'll offer our advice based on what moves quickly and what sits for a while. Once your board sells, you can choose to receive store credit for the full selling price of the board, or take a check minus a 20% consignment fee.
